故事講述的是一大學生創業失敗后，面臨著病魔的禁錮，面對著女朋友的要挾，面對著新的公司，曾一次次的到達西藏，認識了新的朋友，吳曉遠雖然在教他們唱國歌、使用多媒體中付出了很多，但他也獲得了更大的收獲。在新朋友的幫助下使他找回了自己，認識到了自己的價值，新朋友們不僅從精神上幫助了他，使他改變了犯罪的念頭，也從物質上拯救了他的生命。吳曉遠看著孩子們那心里的渴望，也漸漸的從他們身上感受到了溫暖。他的女朋友也從不理解變成了對他的支持。然而吳曉遠和這群朋友卻放棄了直接去天安門的機會，而是靠自己的雙手挖蟲草賣錢，使他們一起到達了夢寐以求的地方——天安門。當然吳曉遠也使一句“比賽得第一，就去天安門”的激勵變成了真正的現實，圓了孩子的夢想，實現了自己的承諾。當我聽到他們在天安門唱國歌的時候，我的心里有著一種說不出的感動。
